The story behind the painting
For the 2010 Henry Dunant Year, Coop and the Henry Dunant Year 2010 Association called upon personalities from politics, business, sports, and culture to interpret the world-famous Red Cross in an artistic way. Participants included the Dalai Lama, Micheline Calmy-Rey, Carl Lewis, and Ursus & Nadeschkin. The nearly 60 resulting paintings were auctioned off in 2010.
